DWARF Mini

A compact 30 mm smart telescope designed for simple, portable observing and imaging.

Why consider the DWARF Mini?

DWARF Mini combines automatic target finding, tracking and image stacking in a body weighing about 840 g. Its small size and straightforward app-led setup make it an accessible option for beginners and travellers.

Very portable

At about 840 g, it is the lightest telescope in the current DWARFLAB range and easy to carry to a darker site.

Automatic night-sky workflow

Autofocus, GoTo navigation, tracking and live stacking reduce the amount of separate equipment and setup knowledge required.

Equatorial mode

Equatorial mode supports exposures of up to 90 seconds and reduces field rotation during longer imaging sessions.

Built-in filters

Dark-frame, astronomy and dual-narrowband filters support several types of deep-sky imaging from one device.

Things to consider

  • Its 30 mm aperture gathers less light than the larger DWARF 3 and Draco, so faint targets may need longer total integration time.
  • Equatorial mode needs a stable support that can be adjusted to the correct polar angle.
  • The compact telephoto system is better suited to wider targets than very small galaxies or detailed planetary imaging.
